Don't get me wrong: I'm all for actors putting their money where their mouth is – financing charity projects etc. But why would anybody listen to an actor when it comes to political decisions?
In the worst case, credibility is lost in both directions. The case of Mr. Ben Affleck comes to mind – for me, his public act of supreme stupidity has permantly tainted all his screen appearances. Mr. Cruise enthusing about the miraculous "powers" of Scientology may also just be an act.
What looked like a straight-forward idea at the sketch phase turned into the usual endless nightmare. It easily took me two hours to get the second panel to look right.
I spent the time listening to motion picture music – Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo score and the soundtrack to The Third Man.
