Whenever I meet a "people person"... one of these people who have finely-honed diplomatic methods of conveying anything at all... these people who are always friendly and considerate to a fault... I find myself becoming weirdly aggressive.
Is it a suspicion of dishonesty? Is it envy? Is it the fact that I have watched The Stepford Wives (the original film)? All of the above?
I was actually trying to draw the two hypothetical civilized people as abstract as possible. To my surprise, they still look rather like characters instead of cyphers.
For the hand pose in the first panel, I photographed myself and used that as reference. Fast and fun. Of course, I first cropped my hideous face off the photo...
