After more than a year on the job, the format occasionally gets on my nerves.
However, I'm not too convinced of the argument that an artist unshackled from any constraints will necessarily produce masterful work. There are too many counter-examples.
(For the record, the Prince album in question is "Sign O' The Times" from 1987.)
For the third panel, I tried to copy the pose of Weird Al Yankovic's first Greatest Hit compilation, itself a take-off on the cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller album.
However, there was no way to make Yankovic's pose work within the constraints of my panel borders. What was supposed to be an quick swipe turned into a lenghty ordeal.
